Ι am Giota Michalopoulou and I was born in a picturesque village in Peloponnesus of Greece.
My passion for cooking has started developing at a very young age.
When I was just a little girl I used to cook for my parents while they were working out in the fields. They were so glad to find out when they returned home that I had prepared homemade dishes. My parents’ satisfaction and their good and kind words made me try for the best.
Αt 18 I found myself working next to reputable chefs in Germany. In this job I gained knowledge and experience that seemed useful in my whole career. Returning in Greece I continued my trip in cooking gathering information on local kitchens. At the same time I had the opportunity to cook for the owners of very good restaurants. This experience made me create new and tasty recipes keeping close to the Mediterranean and traditional taste.
After 40 years of experience, I decided to write this cook-book based on blood-groups in collaboration with the Physiatrist Theodoros Gatzounis.
At the same time I have undertaken to cook for visitors from 12 countries within the framework of the Erasmus programme of the European Union with great success and a lot of praises and thanks. This way I want to help all those who want to follow the principles of Mediterranean diet.
The book is available for the last three years in Greek and English. I am now having it translated in Italian and I wish you to remain healthy and delicious like my recipes!!
